As a child growing up in a small town with a large family I loved finding time to be alone with paper, pencil and my imagination. After moving to the big city and working for a few years I went back to school to study art and again found the love of drawing and creating that I had left behind during the teenage years.
As an illustrator of over 20 children’s books I still love to paint and experiment and some of my work, both for children and adults, is included in my shop.
Nature, children and animals are the subjects that I’m drawn to and I’ll keep experimenting with new work and new materials for my work. Many of the children’s books I’ve illustrated have been translated into other languages, including French, Dutch and Korean. I still live in the big city of Toronto but will never lose my love for nature and enjoy walks and hiking as often as I can.
